Yesterday morning I found PowerBook 3400 Modem v1.1f2 update (84K) in the Apple Club but the link is to Apple's regular servers. This update fixed the problem that I was having using the internal modem with ccMail Mobile and MacCIM 2.4.4. It is also supposed to fix the problem of the modem not resetting after ending a connection. I haven't had that problem but others on Apple's Technical Support Online reported that the drivers fixed it.
