Mac OS 8 was available in retail stores on Saturday. Best Buy was the only store to advertise it. Best Buy's price was $84.99 plus tax. With a $30 rebate to 7.6 owners, the net cost is right at $60. This is some $10 less than from the Apple Club and some $20 less than directly from Claris.
