MacInTouch posted a reader's letter which reported the results of altering the jumpers on the motherboard of a PowerMac G3/266 Tower. The CPU ran at 300 MHz but the system bus would not run at more than the standard 66 MHz. At 300 MHz it MacBenched at 1002 (CPU) and 963 (FPU), about like my PowerBase with the PowerForce G3 250 at 292.4 MHz (MacBench scores of 1061 [CPU] and 921 [FPU]).
