AirPort Base Station On The Way

I was informed Tuesday by my lovely spouse that since a load of relatives will be staying with us for the holidays she needed me to convert my "computer room" back to a workable bedroom to accomodate them. Of course, the cable modem hookup is in the soon-to-be bedroom and people on holidays seem to sleep a lot so the best solution seemed to be an AirPort Base Station hookup to my Power Mac G4/400 (Sawtooth) temporarily (and I'll have to fight to keep it temporary when our relatives depart) relocated in my basement work room. I already have the AirPort card and had planned to use the G4 as a base station for my daughter's holiday gift and eventually my PowerBook but the Apple software to do this isn't out yet. MacZone had Base Stations in stock for $265 (i.e. $294.95 less a 10% discount) and overnight shipping cost only $7 so it should be here today. I'll be posting my setup and use experiences.
