CompuServe Improving Under AOL
according to this PC World article. CompuServe is Apple's partner in a $400 rebate for buying an iMac and signing up to 3 years of internet service. As frequent readers know, I gave up my 8 year old CompuServe account early this year in favor of ATT Worldnet because I got tired of only 21.6-26.4K connections all over the country and many of the forum masters that I had enjoyed chatting with had left along with a lot of the support content provided by companies making software and hardware products for the Mac. For most of those years I had spent a lot of time as a volunteer on the Mac internet support forum helping out because CompuServe continued to turn its back on Mac users. I am very pleased to read that AOL is reversing things in general, hopefully also for Mac users. [Dana Baggett]
