iMacs At Sears Good News

from Chris Turkel, "I walked into my local Sears here in Lanesboro, Mass (Near Pittsfield) and was startled to see an iMac! The Lanesboro store is very small, one of the smallest in the nation but there it was, clustered among other PeeCees in the computer aisle. Whats even better was a salesman was demonstrating Nanosaur to a small crowd who ooo'ed and ahhh'ed. Later I ask the salesman about the imac and he told me he had just been trained this past weekend and produced two CDs an Apple Rep had given him that he used to learn the machine. I am pleased that at least in this store, the training worked well and the sales people are enthusiastic about the iMac." [In addition, Sears having established $1299 as its "regular price" is apparently going to price match and advertise a sale price of $1199 during this weekend's rollout just like Macs Only! mentioned FIRST in our report on May 28.--Bill]
