Norton Antivirus For The Mac v6.0 Beta Problems?

I inserted a floppy into the drive to load some data and as the floppy mounted the Computer froze up, message was finder quite illegal instruction. Restart. Mac would not restart unless I used key board. I did this about 5 times same results. I then unmounted the new Nav 6.0 beta, trashed it , restarted and all was well. The machine I am using is a Mac G3 beige 333Mz, 384 Megs ram, 8.6 OS ." [I don't have this problem on a B&W G3/300 with a Yano (TEAC) USB floppy drive--Bill.]
