Sony To OEM PowerBook 2400c Replacement?

I wish. But why not? After all, IBM OEM'd the 2400c and Sony currently builds the best subnotebooks for travelers. A case in point is the new Sony PCG-C2GPS [PowerPage]. It is basically a keyboard with a near 9" TFT 1024x480 screen. It also has 64 MB RAM, 8.1 GB hard drive, V.90 56K modem, a FireWire port, USB port, CardBus PC card slot, external CD ROM *and* a GPS receiver! Of course, it has a Pentium II CPU and Windows 98 OS. It would be perfect with an Apple-designed case, a PowerPC CPU and the Mac OS. Hopefully, Steve Jobs' special expression of respect and praise for Akio Morita, the late co-founder of Sony, at the iMac II announcement in October also reflects a business relationship in the making. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
