Washington Apple Pi User Group Wins Awards

From Dave Ottalini, "The New York PC Users Group today announced that Washington Apple Pi (WAP), a Macintosh/Apple Computer User Group based in Rockville, Maryland had won major design awards for its magazine, "The WAP Journal" and its web site at www.wap.org. The 1999 Newsletter and Webpage competitions were sponsored by Adobe Systems. In the Best Design for a Large Publication (of more than 26 pages), "The WAP Journal" tied for top honors with the Capital PC Users Group publication "The Capital PC Monitor." The Journal was also a runner up in the Best User Group Coverage and Best Features categories. Overall, WAP shared with the Capital PC Users Group the distinction of being judged as having the best user group publication in the U.S. In the web page competition, WAP was judged to have the best user group web page overall. www.wap.org was also a runner-up for its use of technology.
