has its own site on Apple.Com. Each of the six components (word processing, drawing, painting, spreadsheet, database and presentation) has its own descriptive page. AppleWorks (initially as ClarisWorks) has long been the best consumer and small office productivity suite but somehow Apple has kept it a relative "secret." Even Steve Jobs gave AppleWorks short shrift in his Macworld Expo keynote address--why? Look, Microsoft Works is truly pedestrian but AppleWorks provides powerful features in an elegantly simple-to-use package that was Apple's original trademark theme and, thankfully, is once again today.
