HyperCard on Mac OS 9

From Danny Lewis, "I'm a HyperCard user and still like to use HyperCard today for rapid software development. I thought it was not fair how Apple didn't say if it had any plans to update it. Thus I sent this message on Apple's comment feed back section of their HyperCard site.

'I am wondering if Apple is going to update HyperCard to be fully OS 9 compliant. I've read where several HyperCard users are extremely upset over this matter. HyperCard still is a useful tool for rapid program development and I'd hate to see no more developments made to such a wonderful productivity tool. HyperTalk is such an easy language to learn thousands of people have adopted its use and still use it today. What would be nice is a Carbonized version for OS X, completely rewritten with a large bounty of new/updated features. If no more development will be made, how about releasing the source so others can develop it further? Thank you for your time.'

About 2 weeks later I received this in responce:

'Hi,

There should be a HC/MacOS 9 solution fairly soon. Anymore than that is mere speculation.

So it appears that Apple did listen to all of us HyperCard users who do love this software development solution. I do hope Apple will develop it further, however, it would be such a waste for them not too with all of the new technologies they have now."
