iMovie a Big Hit

as we expected. From an Apple press release, "Apple [yester]day announced that downloads of its iMovie video editing software for PowerBook and Power Mac G4 customers have topped 150,000 during the first week it was made available at no charge on [its web site]." Of course, the use of iMovie is not restricted to the PowerBook (FireWire) and Power Mac G4. iMovie works fine on G3-upgraded Power Macs through the Rev. A iMac, B&W G3s and the iBook. QuickTime Pro can be used to make and export DV files on any of those Macs.
