Mac OS X PB Classic Environment Revisited
Yesterday we tackled the problem by installing all non-Carbonized applications (no 3D games) that we wanted to use in Mac OS X PB's Classic Environment on Mac OS 9.0.4 on the same partition as Mac OS X. Then we trashed all the folders with an automount file to the other partitions and drives which also house the applications that we have been trying to use. This eliminated the need to work across partitions and drives. The applications included Microsoft Office 98, Adobe GoLive 4, Netscape Communicator 4.75 and Netscape Calendar. We also set Mac OS 9.0.4 to use only the Base Set of extensions plus those specific to the applications we installed. Classic Environment now works quickly and perfectly.
