Macworld Events Begin Today

in New York City with the Warm Up Rally. The main event, Steve Jobs' keynote address, is tomorrow at 9am ET. If you are not attending the Expo to see the keynote in person, as we noted last week it will be webcast, satellite broadcast and shown on a wall-size large screen TV at your local Apple Market Center. Two weeks ago we covered speculation about what might be announced. Since then a possible cube-shaped Mac has made the rumor rounds with Apple's Legal Department following up requesting removal of the details (for example see MacInTouch 7/17). Then there are the words in a document included with the latest Apple USB SDK v1.4.4f4 for developers which mention a new Power Mac due out this summer, first seen on MacFixIt yesterday. We have no special information to add so we'll happily wait for tomorrow's keynote and hope that we're all greatly surprised.
