Macworld Expo NYC 2000 Announcement Speculation

is beginning to build as we approach 2 weeks until Steve Jobs' keynote speech on Wednesday morning, July 19. Last year, amid wild speculations Steve Jobs announced the iBook, Apple's highly successful consumer portable, and the AirPort wireless network. Both recently received upgrades. The Power Mac G4 and PowerBook have also been upgraded in the first half of the year. However, the iMac design is nearly two years old and may be in line for a major redesign despite continuous excellent improvements. CNet guessed that a new iMac design will be announced. A 17" monitor is mentioned but they still may be too heavy. A 14"+ LCD monitor is possible but they still may be too expensive. There has also been speculation that Apple will announce a new keyboard and mouse for its product line. Some of the speculation is that they will be wireless. However, unless Apple is releasing new versions of every Mac, which is not likely, a wireless keyboard and mouse will have to work through AirPort or a communication device that plugs into a USB port. What do you think will be announced at Macworld? Let me know.
