Quake II v1.0.3 Updater

is available for download (309 KB .bin). From the ReadMe file, "This is the 1.0.3 update for Quake II for Macintosh. This is an 'unofficial' update and is not officially supported by Activision, id Software, and/or Logicware." The are a few changes and bug fixes. Here are the bug fixes:

- Users with Voodoo 3 cards could not change their gamma (brightness) settings. This has been fixed. You can use either the Video Options game menu or the vid_gamma console variable to tweak your gamma settings. Using the cvar will require a vid_restart command for the changes to take effect. Useful values will probably fall in the 0.5-1.5 range.

- Multi-Monitor support in the GL renderer was a little spotty. This has been fixed. The monitor you select when DrawSprocket brings up the monitor selection dialog is the monitor that will be used. Picking a monitor that isn't attached to a video card with OpenGL drivers will result in OpenGL software rendering, which will be very very SLOW.

- Added MSL RuntimePPC.DLL library file to updater, it is installed by the updater. This file should be present in your Quake 2 folder (the same folder as the application itself). If this file is not present, you may have problems running third-party mods with 1.0.3.

- Fixed problem where you couldn't use the InputSprocket configuration dialog."
