Sonnet Develops Fortissimo Bus-Doubling Technology

We missed this one on Wednesday. "Sonnet Technologies announced the development of Fortissimo, a breakthrough bus-doubling technology for processor upgrades. Fortissimo-enhanced CPU upgrades accelerate certain Macs beyond the previous limitations of the machine's local bus speed." Fortissimo doubles the system bus speed on the CPU card so it theoretically allows a Power Mac 7100 with a system bus speed of 40 MHz to use a G3 CPU of up to 800 MHz (10x80) instead just 400 MHz (10x40).
