Apple PowerBook G3 AC Adapter Recall Extends Beyond WallStreet Models

We have a PowerBook 2000 (Pismo) with a silver yo-yo AC adapter (model M7332) but went to Apple's recall web page and entered our PowerBook's serial number. The web page confirmed that our adapter is a part of the recall even though it is not the black brick model M4402. Here is the web graphic that shows the silver yo-yo AC adapter that we will get in exchange for ours:

Either the web site is incorrectly identifying AC adapters for recall or the recall really extends beyond the black bricks of the WallStreet and Lombard PowerBook G3s. Our AC adapter does get fairly hot and sparks when we plug it in. While it has not caused any problems we are pleased to exchange it. We recommend that anyone with any model of PowerBook G3 check Apple's recall web site.
