From the Dark Side--Apple Argued Against Private M$ Antitrust Suits Settlement

in U.S. District Court in Baltimore on Monday according to this ZDNet article. Apple argued that Microsoft should be required to pay $1 billion in cash to a independent foundation rather than giving away mostly its software and training plus less cash. Most people see the proposed settlement as basically helping M$ leverage its way into the education market. M$ defended the settlement, of course, and modified the proposed settlement slightly.
