[11:00a 1/7] Flat Panel LCD Review: From Gene Steinberg, "The prices for LCD displays are coming down, but quality rates high. I reviewed three products for CNET, and two of them work great on Macs. Here's the URL for the report." [One of Macs Only!'s holiday purchases was a 17" Samsung 770TFT flat panel LCD display for $1189 after a discount and holiday rebate. It replaced a 19" CRT that is fading and has other problems. The LCD, connected to our Power Mac G4 (AGP), is brighter and sharper at it native resolution (1280x1024) than any of our CRTs past or present and is a pleasure to work on with either an ATI Radeon or 3dfx Voodoo5 graphics card.--Bill]
