According to this Macworld UK article, Windows XP is expected to copy more of Mac OS X than just the "X" in its name, including an Apple-style kickoff. Code-named "Whistler", Windows XP will be the first consumer grade OS from M$ that is based on Windows NT/2000 code, making it much more stable than the Windows 95-ME clan.
