From the Dark Side--M$ Released Windows XP RC2 Ahead of Schedule

The rc2 release, the second public beta before the final release scheduled for October, officially began last Saturday but we just received our notice with password yesterday. On Sunday night we will download the 500+ MB monster and burn another CD to try out the competition.

We hope Apple adopts this procedure for Mac OS X 10.1 which is rumored to be a full release and not an updater. It's really no problem to burn a bootable CD from a .iso file as Microsoft allows its customers to do. M$ will also mail a CD but it is several weeks behind the download. C'mon Apple, let us use the burners you've been selling us!
