according to Apple's iPod web site. The iPod, the breakthrough digital device, was introduced by Apple CEO Steve Jobs in yesterday's press conference. Here's the press release, a TV commercial, a QuickTime video and a QuickTime VR image of the iPod. The iPod is a tiny nextgen music player (card deck size) with a 10 hour lithium polymer battery that holds 1000 songs on an internal 5 GB FireWire drive and recharges 80 percent in just an hour via the FireWire connection. It comes with iTunes 2 and its ear bud headphones have neodymium magnets for high fidelity sound. The cost? $399 at the online Apple Store, Apple retail stores and Apple resellers on November 10.
