IDC Says Apple First in Education Market

IDC, joining QED's earlier report, reported that Apple is the leading computer company in installed base in schools, 28 percent for desktops and 35 per cent for portables. This is about twice as many as the next competitor, probably Dell, according to Apple's press release. With the incredible new iBook, Apple is poised to significantly increase its share in the portable market.
