New Nav 5,6 & 7 Virus Definition Posted

From Dana Baggett, "Symantec has posted updates for NavM 5, 6, & 7 on its ftp server dated 1/24/01. Comments elsewhere suggest that it is merely an addition to the ReadMe to updates posted earlier in the month clarifying that the Melissa W. virus antidote is included. The claim was that the installer won't run over the update posted earlier in the month. But, I downloaded it and ran it anyway, in the interest of science. It did install and I found two items dated "yesterday" in the Trash as a result:

Norton AntiVirus Macro Scan Lib
Norton AntiVirus Library

So, it may be prudent to download and run it.

BTW. I'm not sure whether the LiveUpdate feature works. I couldn't get it to connect earlier, which caused me to download the ftp file. I did get it to connect later, after I ran the ftp update, so of course it reported that no update was needed."
