by El Gato Software is a personal digital video recorder. The booth was swamped and we were unable to check out the device up close but we did see it work and it works very well. EyeTV is basically a 124-channel cable-ready TV tuner and MPEG encoder to digitize and send TV signals to you Mac over a standard USB cable and stores the MPEG-1 file on your hard drive. It takes 650 MB of space for one hour of video. EyeTV software displays the TV show in a resizable window or full screen on your Mac. It normally costs $199 but the show special price is $179.
