according to this Yahoo News article. This means that Apple's AirPort which introduced Wi-Fi (802.11b) is unlikely to be crushed by another wireless standard. Microsoft's entry coupled with the recent approval of the faster, but backward compatible with 802.11b, draft 802.11g standard is very good news indeed. Furthermore, it will automatically configure: "At the core of our (wireless) product line is software that detects hardware and automatically configures the network," said a M$ian. Could that be Apple's open standards Rendezvous?
