Macworld NYC 2002 Attendance Dropped 10 Per Cent
according to this ZDNet article quoting an IDG announcement. 58,000 attended this year as compared with 64,000 last year. As we noted in our on-scene reports, there were definitely fewer attendees and major exhibitors than last year. We thought attendance would be down more than 10 per cent and noted that the major drop was only on Friday.
The ZDNet article also reported that over 50,000 people watched Steve Jobs keynote by QuickTime webcast according to Apple, one of those was our own Dana Baggett who praised the webcast quality as the best yet. The keynote rebroadcast is now available for viewing on this Apple web page.
