Pioneer Releases New Faster DVD-R Drive

The new model A04 replaces the model A03 which is used as the SuperDrive in Power Mac G4s and iMac G4s according to this CNet article. The A04 will be smaller, write faster and the MSRP will drop from $650 to $500. DVDs hold 4.7 GB of data and will replace CDs, which hold 700 MB, in the near future as the prevalent optical medium.
