Steve Jobs Macworld Tokyo Keynote Highlights

Despite Apple previously announcing that there would be no new hardware announcements at Macworld Tokyo according to at least one Mac web site, last night Steve Jobs presented:

1. A new high definition 1920x1200 23" Cinema Display for $3500. Here is Apple's press release.

2. Bluetooth networking software for Macs to drive a D-Link DWB-120M USB Bluetooth Adapter for Macs that cost $49. The D-Link adapter is available now and the software will be available free in early April. Here is the press release.

3. A new iPod with a 10 GB drive for $499, $100 more than the 5 GB model. $49 for custom 27-letter laser engraving. New software including contacts and 20 equalizer presets (see below). Here is Apple's press release.

4. A $100 price increase for flat panel iMacs because of component price increases. Old prices will be honored for flat panel iMacs already on order. The new iMacs are now shipping at a rate of 5000 per day so the backlog will be filled in April. Here is Apple's press release.
