Sybase ASE 12.5 for OS X Coming Soon?

From a Sybase engineer, "As you already knew with the release of the XServe, Sybase is committed to bringing enterprise level computing to the Mac, but now the time has come for the fruits :) My manager told me today that a fully functional, time-limited beta of ASE 12.5 for OS X will be available on the Sybase website very soon."

"My co-workers had been chiding me in the past but now they will be calling me for help :) I'm very excited over all this.... ASE is a tremendous product. If it is well received by the Mac community, there are many other very cool products such as SQL Anywhere, and SQL Remote that we may be seeing soon."

"I imagine this will be a big thing in the schools, especially since many state governments and school districts are already customers of ours. This will save them a great deal of money in server hardware, as they will no longer have to pay out for a big Sun/HP 9000/other big $ Unix box."
