iBook Program in MI School District

From Dana Baggett, Onsted, MI, schools have used a $100,000 state grant to obtain 100 Apple iBooks for fourth and fifth grade students and four for teachers. The school district went wireless on a prototype basis last year, the only such setup at the elementary level in the state. This commitment apparently made the school district very competitive in its application for state funds. The program apparently is a hit. A representative of the state House Speaker thinks iBooks may replace bookpacks. Read more here.
