New Apple Store in Gates' Territory

From reader Mik Endrody, "Well, after reading about the Apple Stores on the East Coast in your page, we finally have one of our own here in Bellevue, Washington, (near Seattle and a couple of miles from Bill Gate's house). The store opened Saturday and had about 3300 customers that day completely wiping out their iPod supply! We visited the store Sunday and it was crowded again with enthusiastic customers. We are on a waiting list for the 15GB iPod. Great place, and nice to talk to fellow Mac enthusiasts. Their staff is very knowledgeable and caring. The store is beautiful."

We are always impressed with the staff and design/decor every time we visit an Apple Store anywhere in the US. It is, in our opinion, unquestionably the best shopping or browsing experience of any store we have visited.
