Mac OS X Malicious Web Site Vulnerability--Paranoid Android v1.1

Apple's Security Update 2004-05-24 was released Friday and it includes a fix for the Help Viewer AppleScript vulnerability but it apparently does not deal with the vulnerability that allows a malicious web site to mount and run a disk image to do all sorts of evil things. While we are not security experts, we recommend installing Unsanity's Paranoid Android, now updated to v1.1, to trap and to allow one to manually accept or reject all actions attempted through a web browser. This seems like a good idea despite there being no reported such malicious exploits of Mac OS X out there "in the wild."
