Maine Students Buy G5 Server for Simple Machines Go Live! Project

The Maine Learning Technology Intiative that brought iBooks to every seventh and eighth grader and many ninth graders in the state continues to spawn innovation in computer literacy. The students at the Bruce M. Whittier Middle School in Poland received an Innovative Idea grant from National Semiconductor for their Simple Machines Go Live! Project. With part of the funds they bought a G5 Server to provide QuickTime video streaming of student videos of the Rube Goldberg machines to the web site. [Dana Baggett]
