Pepsi-iTunes Promotion Follow Up

We received many responses to yesterday's article from all over the US, too many to post. Most stated that the promotional caps on 20-oz Pepsi and Diet Pepsi were available in limited numbers in their areas. The locations where people stated that they couldn't find them are: "Texas"; El Paso, TX; and Iowa City, IA. Bill Palmer wrote to mention that his iPod Garage web site has a map of where the promotional caps have been reported.

No one mentioned finding any Sierra Mist promotional bottles nor 1-liter promotional bottles of any flavor. The prices mentioned ranged from $1.09 to $1.49. Robert Ruznick wrote that the Baltimore 7-11's he visited had the promotional 32-oz cups in stock.

Most found one or more winners. We had four winners among the six bottles we bought on Thursday. Curiously, the four regular Pepsi's were winners and the two Diet Pepsi's were losers.

We beat the odds substantially and we paid $7.46 for 120 oz of Pepsi and four iTunes songs. We could have bought 135 oz of Pepsi in two 2-liter bottles for $1.84 and four iTunes songs directly off Apple's iTunes Music Store for $3.96, total $5.80. Directly purchasing songs off Apple's iTunes Music Store seems like the best deal.
