Tim Berners-Lee the Real Inventor of the Internet's World Wide Web Gets $1.65 Million Prize
The Millennium Technology Prize, the world's largest technology prize, was given to Tim Berners-Lee by the Finnish Technology Award Foundation according to this eCommerce Times article. The US$1.65 million prize for outstanding technological achievements that raised the quality of life is supported by the Finnish government as well as private contributors. Berners-Lee is the first recipient of the award. Tim Berners-Lee invented the internet's world wide web.
