Apple Released Final Cut Express HD 3.0.1 Update for PCI Express Graphics Controller

The updater can be downloaded from this Apple Web page. According to the Read Me file,

Final Cut Express HD 3.0.1 delivers improved compatibility with Macintosh computers using a PCI Express graphics controller. This update is required for customers using Final Cut Express HD on these systems.

This is somewhat of an ominous message for us since we've ordered the new Power Mac G5 Quad that has a PCI Express graphics controller. We use version 2.0.3 of Final Cut Express so can not use this particular update. We are now wondering how many of our current software applications will have to be similarly updated or may not even be updated because they are not a current version. [Bill Fox]
