Cool Mac OS X 10.4 Tidbit--Tiger Supports Pivoting Monitors [Updated]

Has anyone noticed that Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger now supports pivoting montors in the Displays pane of System Preferences? Reader Andy Grobengieser wrote,

If you own such a monitor (I own an HP L2335), you're now presented with an extra option, called "Rotate", which allows immediate rotation of the display to 90, 180, or 270 degrees.

A nice surprise, as I hadn't been able to use this functionality of my external monitor until now.

We don't have a pivoting monitor on our 17" PowerBook G4 but the option shows up in our Displays pane if we launch System Preferences and hold down the "option" key while clicking on the Displays pane. Basically this feature is available if your Mac has an ATI graphics card that supports it. [Updated to correctly state how to get the "Rotate" option to appear.] [Bill Fox]
