Apple has thrown its support to a high definition DVD format called Blu-ray. Other adherents include Sony, HP and Dell, largely computer makers. Now, Blu-ray is gathering more steam in media companies. Paramount Home Entertainment is the latest to throw its weight behind Blu-ray.
