Last of Apple's Tiger BitTorrent Lawsuit Apparently Settled

As you may recall, Apple sued three named individuals and an unspecified number of un-named individuals in December 2004 for distributing a beta version of Mac OS X 10.4 "Tiger" via the BitTorrent file sharing service. The named individuals are (or were) members of Apple's developer program and, as such, had agreed to NDA's that prevented them from disclosing what they received from the program.

According the the DrunkenBlog, the third named suit finally has been settled. The agreement prohibits the defendant from "...possessing, controlling, distributing, transferring, copying, sharing, [sic] or communicating..." any non-public Apple information and property and requires that the defendant return any and all non-public Apple information or materials possessed.

The settlement is similar to the previous two settlements early this year and seems reasonable to us. [Bill Fox]
