Spotlight on Innovation--Create Your Own Mac OS X Tiger Dashboard Widgets

The upcoming Worldwide Developers Conference 2005, June 6-10, will focus on the latest edition of Mac OS X, i.e. "Tiger" or 10.4. Dashboard introduces a new breed of mini-application called a Widget. Based upon standard HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, Widgets are simple to build and easy to extend using the power of Mac OS X. Learn how to use the technologies you already know to build widgets that can enhance your Mac OS X application or bring new capabilities to the platform. There is also a hands-on session will provide you with the techniques you need to make a great Dashboard Widget on Mac OS X Tiger. Widget UI design will be discussed and explained, using sample code, how to implement scrollers and other common Widget interface elements.
