Apple Expected to Beat Analysts' Earnings Estimate in Q1 Financial Call Today
During his Macworld keynote, Apple CEO Steve Jobs blew away estimtes of iPod sales by announcing that 14 million had been sold and mentioned that Apple had a record $5.7 billion revenue quarter. Today we will get the details in Apple's conference call with analysts at 5 pm ET (2 pm PT). The analysts' consensus estimate of Apple's earnings is $0.62 per share which is up from $0.35 last year, according to an AP article,. A more recent AP article says $0.61 per share. Apple nearly always beats the estimate so we predict the same for today's financial announcement. You can listen in on the QuickTime streaming broadcast of the call from this Apple Web page.
