Apple-Supported Blu-ray Disc Technology in Promo riding HDTV Ad Campaign

Blu-ray Disc, supported by Apple Computer, is a next-generation optical disc format developed for high-definition video and high-capacity software applications. A single layer Blu-ray Disc will hold up to 25 gigabytes of data and a double-layer Blu-ray Disc will hold up to 50 gigabytes of data. It supports 1080p resolution, the highest of HDTV. Other supporters of this new format written with a blue laser include Twentieth Century Fox, Panasonic, Philips, Pioneer, Sony, Warner Bros. and others.
