Nanosaur II Now in Universal Binary with V2.0, Enigmo 2 Announced

Pangea Software, Inc., announced the release of Nanosaur II, version 2.0 which is now a universal binary application that will run natively on both PowerPC and Intel-based Macs. The Nanosaur II 2.0 updater is currently available for download from the Pangea Software Web site. The 2.0 update will update all previous versions of the game, however, version 2.0 requires Mac OS 10.4. Users with older versions of Mac OS X should stay with version 1.1 which is still available on the Pangea web site.

Enigmo 2 is a follow-up to the incredibly popular game Enigmo, and the new version takes puzzle games to a whole new dimension. Enigmo 2 is a 3D puzzle game where the player manipulates flowing water, plasma and laser beams so that they can reach their final destination. Along the way, the player must toggle switches, deactivate force-fields, use magneto-spheres to attract charged particles, and perform many other feats of Newtonian physics. Enigmo 2 will include a built-in level editor that allows players to build their own games that they can share with friends or post on a web site to allow anyone to play their custom levels.

"For Engimo 2 we really wanted to do something different," said Brian Greenstone, President of Pangea Software, "We didn’t want to just add more levels to the old game, but rather, we wanted to take the concept of a physics-based puzzle game to the next level by introducing new puzzle parts like the laser beams, charged plasma particles, teleporters, etc."

Pangea Software expects Enigmo 2 to ship in mid February. In the meantime, the game’s anticipated system requirements, several screenshots, and even a two minute movie trailer have been posted to the Pangea Software Web site. Enigmo 2 will be available as a univeral binary for both PowerPC and Intel-based Macs. [Bill Fox]
