Surprise! Apple's iWork Second to Microsoft Office in U.S. Retail Sales

Apple's iWork consists of a word processing application, Pages, and a presentation application, Keynote, and it is the first alternative to Microsoft Office in U.S. retail sales of office suite productivity software, ahead of Corel's WordPerfect Office, according to an article in News.com. While still a small U.S. retail market share of 2.7 per cent, iWork handily beat WordPerfect Office's 1.6 per cent. The same article quotes iWork's share on Macs of 17.4 per cent.
