Brief Hands-On Report--smcFanControl 2.1.2 is Out

We started up smcFanControl to check on the operation of our MacBook Pro's fans and it alerted us to a new version recently released that fixed some memory leaks. We downloaded and installed v2.1.2 within the application but one can get a stand-alone updater via MacUpdate.

Our fans were running full blast (6000rpm) during the update of the Windows Vista virtual machine after installing Parallels Build 4128.

smcFanControl v2.1.2 works fine with our MacBook Pro Core 2 Duo. [Bill Fox]
