Former Apple CEO Sculley states "I'm a terrible manager"

Former Apple CEO John Sculley addressed a group of 250 students at Brown University's Annual Entrepreneurship Forum. He claimed to be a "half-decent idea person" while admitting he is a "terrible manager." Sculley joined Apple as CEO after he was recruited from PepsiCo in 1983 by Apple cofounder Steve Jobs, then Chairman of Apple. Sculley eventually ousted Jobs from Apple in 1985.

He praised Steve Jobs for being the real visionary and gave him full credit for Apple's successful direction. Sculley's claimed success was in building Apple into a major company while his biggest goof was missing the manufacturing and marketing model introduced by Michael Dell.
