Wednesday Humor--Apple launches iLaunch
A satirical article on a mythical product that does one of the things Apple does best--launch new products--was posted last night to CNet.com. The article by The Onion describes an Apple Event launching the iLaunch, a $12,000 "hype-generating mechanism with fully integrated Mac compatibility," that launches new products automatically. Steve Jobs signature "one more thing" is that the iLaunch actually created the iLaunch's launch.
Not so satirical is the final sentence of the spoof,
"Shortly after Jobs' address, Microsoft announced that they are working on a similar product, the Launch-O, due to debut in 2009."
