A Mac OS 8/RAM Doubler/Floppy Drive Issue Solution
Reader N. Fore suggests that... "It's not a Mac OS8 problem... I'm using 7.6.1 on a PowerWave 604/132. After some installs my floppy drive wouldn't mount. Conflict Catcher tagged a corrupted RamDoubler 2.0.1 as the culprit. I deinstalled then reinstalled RamDoubler 2.0.1 and all has been fine since."
A Battle of the OS's in 1998 is shaping up. According to NEWS.COM, Windows 98 is the official title of Microsoft's next OS upgrade. Windows 98 will be up against Apple's Mac OS 9 (not yet the official title) and Rhapsody, both also due out next year.
